The Post-Congress-Tour starts on Sunday, August 18 in Interlaken, Bahnhof West. The train will take the group via Bern, Zurich and Sargans to Buchs SG.
In the afternoon we will visit the Principality of Liechtenstein, a landlocked country in the Alpine region of Central Europe and the sixth smallest country in the world.
The "Weltacker" project will be presented in the afternoon. The project has been running since 2018. In summer, the former "Weltacker" in Vaduz was converted into a "Ernährungsfeld".
We will spend the night at the Agricultural Center Salez in the canton of St. Gallen.
On Monday, August 19, the head of the Agricultural Center (LZSG) will present the project. The LZSG is a center of innovation for agriculture, nutrition and rural areas in the canton of St. Gallen. You will be informed about vocational training, practical experiments in plant cultivation, fruit growing and viticulture.
After lunch we will travel to Austria by train. The tour part in Austria is organized by our colleagues from VAÖ.
In the evening there will be dinner and presentation Linder Tractors at Schachernhof: "Agricultural technology in the alpine area". We will spend the night at Schachernhof.
On Tuesday, August 20, we will visit the National Park Center Mittersill. There will be a guided tour and we'll vist an alp with milking cows. In the evening we will get dinner at Mittersill with a reception by Josef Schwaiger, Federal Minister of Agriculture, Salzburg. Later we'll head back to Schachernhof.
On Wednesday, August 21, we'll visit a dairy farm in the morning in the Flachgau region: Hay Milk - sustainable milk without silage. There will be lunch with ARGE Heumilch represantatives. In the evening we'll arrive at Waldcampus, the biggest and most modern wood competence center of Europe. We will spend our night there.
On Thursday, August 22, we have the opportunity to visit the village of Hallstatt an it's salt mine. In the afternoon we'll visit Bad Goisern. After a ship cruise we'll have our farewell dinner at Hoisn Wirt with a reception by Michaela Langer-Weninger, Federeal Minister of Agriculture, Upper Austria. Overnight stay is at Waldcampus before heading home the next day from the railway station Traunkirchen with direction to Salzburg or Vienna.
